Councils collect £360m in parking permit fees over five years

Cinch sends Freedom of Information requests to local authorities

Local authorities have generated almost £360m from selling residential parking permits in the last five years, new research indicates.

Used car retailer Cinch sent Freedom of Information (FOI) requests to all 218 upper-tier local authorities in the UK showed the revenue generated from resident-only parking schemes.
