The proportion of electric vehicles within UK car club fleets has fallen for the first time, with operators warning they are becoming increasingly unaffordable to run and maintain.
New figures from national shared transport charity Collaborative Mobility UK (CoMoUK) show that in 2024, EVs made up 30% of the car club fleet. This is a marked decline on a year earlier, when the figure stood at 35%, and is the first time on record that the share of EVs within car clubs has fallen.
