A Four-year contract to provide cashless parking in Lambeth has been awarded to mobile phone payment provider PayByPhone.
The London borough said PayByPhone now accounts for 49% of all parking payments, up from 29% at the end of the trial period. Cash now accounts for 42% of payments, down from 60% a year earlier. Card payment now stands at 9%, down from 11% a year previously.
