Labour London mayor candidate Sadiq Khan and the London Borough of Lambeth have withdrawn their opposition to the Garden Bridge in central London after Transport for London reduced its direct grant for the scheme from £30m to £10m. Under the new arrangements, the Garden Bridge Trust promoting the bridge will still have access to £30m from TfL but £20m will be in the form of a 50-year loan. “This is a much better deal for Londoners,” said Khan....
