Plans to transform Eaglescliffe Rail Station, in Stockton on Tees, include an increase in its parking capacity.
The £1m upgrade is part of the Tees Valley Rail Network Improvements programme.? It will see the building of a new glass station building with a waiting room, CCTV, platform benches, handrails and anti-slip paving and re-surfacing of the footbridge.
The station’s surface car park will be extended, increasing its capacity from 30 to 84 spaces.
