JOAN?AITKEN, the Scottish traffic commissioner, has announced a fine amounting to £41,250 against Arriva’s west Scotland bus operation following a public inquiry earlier this year, its third since 2004.
The inquiry was called following a wheel loss incident on a Paisley to Largs service in June 2007, meanwhile an investigation by VOSA bus compliance officers in the Paisley area which found a non-compliance rate of 12%.
