Scotland’s first minister Alex Salmond has announced an inquiry into the troubled delivery of Edinburgh’s tram line, which opened on 31 May.
The 8.5-mile (14km) route between the airport and York Place has cost £776m to deliver. The Scottish Government contributed £500m to the project.
