Open access train operator Wrexham & Shropshire will cease trading on Friday, after mounting losses made it unviable to continue operating.
The company, owned by Deutsche Bahn, John Laing Projects and Renaissance Trains lost £2.8m in 2010 despite a series of service cuts to its Wrexham, Shrewsbury London Marylebone service.
