Stagecoach has followed up its recent purchase of council-owned bus operator Eastbourne Buses with a deal to acquire local competitor Cavendish Motor Services for an undisclosed sum.
The Perth-based group acquired the business last week from its parent, coach operator Renown of Bexhill. However, the deal will see the 28-vehicle Polegate-based operation closed in March with all 40 staff made redundant.
