Local authorities in the West Midlands conurbation are offering Birmingham Airport financial support to help cover Covid-19 losses. The pandemic has decimated air travel as nations impose restrictions on domestic and international travel. CAA data records just 1,889 air transport movements through Birmingham Airport in December, compared with 7,376 in December 2019.
