Sheffield City Council is installing 22 rapid electric vehicle charging points in council-owned car parks across the city, with ten reserved for exclusive use by taxis. The £1.2m investment is funded by the Office for Low Emission Vehicles and the Government’s Joint Air Quality Unit. The investment will support Sheffield’s proposal for a class C clean air zone (CAZ). The equipment is being supplied by Franklin Energy.
