Bristol will become the first city in the UK to take introduce a ban on all privately owned diesel vehicles alongside a charging clean air zone (CAZ) for non-compliant commercial vehicles. 

Bristol City Council’s cabinet has agreed to the creation of a small area diesel ban for all privately owned vehicles that will operate between 7am and 3pm. The area covered includes part of the M32, the old city, Redcliffe, Spike Island, the Harbourside, and part of Hotwells.
