Merseytravel has published an ambitious vision for the Liverpool City Region’s rail network, with new lines and stations, higher frequencies and more electrification.
The 30-year strategy includes a huge number of possible investments. Although the PTE denies the vision is “pie in the sky” it concedes that “it is unlikely that all the projects listed will become a reality”.
