Drivers in Bristol will be among the first in the country to be offered a speed awareness course for exceeding 20mph limits, under plans being drawn up by the local police force.
The Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) last October announced that a course option was being devised for motorists exceeding 20mph limits as an alternative to a fine and points on the driving licence.
