HS2 opponents take challenge to Supreme Court after latest defeat

Opponents of the Government’s high-speed rail plans have vowed to fight on after the Court of Appeal rejected their legal case this week.

The DfT  this week hailed the  Court of Appeal’s ruling, which found in favour of the Government on each of the seven areas of challenge brought by the three claimants: the 51M alliance of 15 local authorities; the HS2 Action Alliance; and Heathrow Hub Ltd.
