Cost implications of cutting HS2 rolling stock order under consideration

HS2 Ltd has advised the DfT not to reduce the number of high speed trains on order although fewer services than originally planned will operate, as a consequence of the reduction in the HS2 project’s scale. The Government is still considering the matter.
