A 729-space multi-storey car park has been opened at Luton station on the Thameslink route, which connects Bedford and Brighton. The £19m needed to create the car park was provided with funding secured by Luton Borough Council from Network Rail. The station and car park are operated by First Capital Connect (FCC), the train operating company that runs Thameslink. The car park was built by contractor Volker Fitzpatrick.
