The London boroughs of Richmond and Wandsworth have appointed Zest to deliver 200 new electric vehicle chargepoints across the two boroughs.

The roll-out will focus on standalone 22kW fast chargers, helping to provide local charging for residents, particularly those without access to off-street parking

Under the agreement, Zest will install and operate 100 chargepoints in each borough, fully funding the infrastructure and its ongoing operation at no cost to the councils, and supporting the continued expansion of on-street charging across London.

Robin Heap, chief executive of Zest, said: “Access to reliable, local charging is critical for people who can’t charge at home. By focusing on the right infrastructure in the right locations, projects like this help make electric vehicles a practical option for more residents, while building the foundations for long-term adoption.”
