Active County Cambridgeshire 2026 is the National Active Travel Conference, established in 2015. The UK’s most popular networking event for active travel professionals showcases success, innovation and best practice in the creation of connected, healthy and vibrant places. Active County Cambridgeshire 2026 – the 12th year of the UK's most popular networking event for active travel professionals - will spotlight the latest research and concepts to create a blueprint for active, vibrant places.
It is presented in 2026 by Landor LINKS in partnership with Cambridgeshire County Council and supported by Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority.
Cllr Alex Beckett, Chair of the Highways and Transport Committee at Cambridgeshire County Council said: “I am delighted that our county will host the Active County 2026 - Cambridgeshire Conference. This event provides a wonderful platform to showcase our growing portfolio of active travel projects – from the First Cycle Street and A10 Active Travel Bridge to the expanding Greenways network, which connects communities directly into Cambridge.
"These schemes highlight our commitment to creating safer, healthier, and more sustainable ways for people to move around our county. Alongside the infrastructure, our behaviour-change programmes are helping residents, schools, and businesses embrace walking, wheeling, cycling, and shared travel as part of everyday life. Hosting this conference gives us the opportunity to share learning, strengthen partnerships, and inspire the next phase of active travel delivery."
"I look forward to welcoming delegates to experience first-hand the innovation and ambition driving Cambridgeshire’s cleaner, greener transport future.”
Active County Cambridgeshire will see more than 500 active travel professionals welcomed for two days of conference seminars, networking, tours, case studies and active travel site visits.
Delegates and speakers will include professionals leading the charge across local and regional authorities, consultants supporting local authority supply chains, businesses, suppliers, academics and campaigners. All will come together to explore the best ways to shape and deliver a vision for supporting Government's active travel ambitions.
