LTNs fail to make people drive less or walk more, says unpublished TfL report

Transport for London decided not to publish new research that suggested Low Traffic Neighbourhoods may not reduce car use, according to The Times.

The study by the University of Westminster’s Active Travel Academy, which has been seen by LTT, found that respondents living in areas with more LTN roads do use a car less frequently. However, it added there is “only weak evidence that  this could be driven by the LTN itself”.
