Axe Northern Powerhouse Rail and spend money on 'other things' says Reform

A Reform UK government would scrap plans for the new Northern Powerhouse Rail high-speed rail schemes to which the current government has in principle committed.

The party’s deputy leader Richard Tice told the companies considering bidding for contracts to build NPR linking Liverpool Manchester and Leeds that they should “not bother” as the party would “spend the money instead on things the country needs more”.
