Leicester City Council is to start using fixed ANPR cameras to enforce traffic offences at two key city centre junctions next week, marking the further spread of moving traffic enforcement beyond London and Wales.

The DfT has granted Leicester City Council permission to use camera enforcement at two yellow box junctions close to St Margaret’s Bus Station.

Both junctions regularly become blocked by motorists who break the law by entering the boxes without being able to exit, disrupting bus...
