The next UK government must commit to a 10-year investment for walking, wheeling and cycling in England to “unlock the potential of active travel”, says a new report by the Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR).
This should include at least £50 per head on active travel in England by 2029-30, £35 of which should be on physical infrastructure, states the report by the charity’s Fair Transition Unit (FTU).
