The transport sector is one of the UK’s largest emitters of CO2 and a major source of air pollution in cities. Decarbonising transport is, therefore, essential if the UK is to meet its goal of net zero emissions by 2050. This a key finding of a white paper from the British Standards Institution (BSI), the national standards body of the United Kingdom.
