AA suggests ‘access rationing’ alternative to ULEZ expansion

The AA has suggested that a form of rationing which provides limited access to non-compliant vehicles could be a way of softening the introduction of tougher measures to control the adverse impacts of urban motoring.

Its thinking follows a survey of its members on the consequences for them of the extension of the London ULEZ to the outer London boroughs, on which a decision is awaited on the challenge to its legality.
