Edinburgh City Council will be “left behind other global cities” if it fails to replace the bike hire scheme that ceased operation last year, Collaborative Mobility UK (CoMoUK) has warned.

Edinburgh is now the only Scottish city, apart from Dunfermline, without a bike share scheme, the shared transport charity points out.

Council officers have recommended dropping an investigation into replacing  the Edinburgh Cycle Hire Scheme (ECHS), which ran from 2018 to 2021 , says...
