EU still not recognising UK Blue Badges

British Blue Badge are still unable to use their parking permits in Europe due to Brexit.

Blue Badge holders had enjoyed automatic recognition when Britain was a member of the EU, but the talks on a replacement scheme now appear to have stalled. However this stopped on 31 December 2020 when the EU transition period ended and the scheme was ended, because local parking attendants face challenges when verifying non-EU parking permits.

One year on, UK ministers have failed to negotiate new deals...
