Cardiff Bus and Newport Transport have announced orders for battery electric buses, with Newport’s order coming after a plan for electric buses in Caerphilly was shelved.
Cardiff Bus has placed an order with Pelican Bus and Coach for 36 battery electric buses from Chinese firm Yutong. Pelican is the UK importer and distributor for Yutong vehicles.
