Record numbers are using the Metrolink light rail rail system, according to new figures from Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM).
More than 40 million journeys a year are now being made on the system – an increase of over four million in the year to September. This represents an 11% increase in journeys on the tram system. This coincides with the opening of the Second City Crossing.
