Highways England has awarded a joint venture of ARUP and URS (now part of AECOM) a £248,933 contract to advise on the new Expressway trunk road designation. The consultants will “support the development of the expressways concept/programme, set the generic requirements for an expressway, and help facilitate the implementation of expressway schemes”. The contract ends on 31 March next year.
