Stagecoach's budget subsidiary Megabus has launched a sleeper service between London and Glasgow, operating in both directions seven days a week. The sleeper service uses three 60ft bendy-buses equipped with 24 bunks in stacks of three and seating for 24.
Stagecoach conducted trial runs of the service over the summer months, using passengers from the regular bus service as guinea pigs. Passengers overwhelmingly said that they would be prepared to pay for a sleeper bus service.
