Bill Emery has announced his intention to step down as chief executive of the Office of Rail Regulation in June 2011.
He was appointed to his current role in September 2005. Prior to this Emery was director of costs and performance and chief engineer at water industry regulator Ofwat, which he joined in 1990. Before that he worked for Yorkshire Water. A chartered civil engineer, he has an engineering degree, a doctorate and an MBA....
