TomTom has completed the expansion of its High Definition (HD) Map product to the mainland US interstate network, and it now covers over 185,000km of interstate highways and other roads across the country.
TomTom is building up this data for use by location technology in autonomous vehicles.
At the Geneva Motor Show it was announced that the TomTom HD Map is being used in the Volvo Drive Me project, an autonomous driving pilot with real people on real roads.
