Grants of around £10,000 each are being offered for projects that encourage sustainable transport on the Isle of Wight.
Governement funding has been secured by Isle of Wight Council from the Local Sustainable Transport Fund (LSTF). The council’s ‘Drive Less, See
More’ scheme is open to any businesses, organisations and community groups that can deliver sustainable transport, with each bid requiring 100% match funding.
The projects should support the visitor economy and boost economic development by reducing congestion and improving the reliability of journey times. The other key objective would be to cut carbon emissions by increasing the number of people making journeys by cycling and walking.
Proposals must be submitted by Friday 6 February.
