Road and rail projects are among the £33 billion of infrastructure schemes shortlisted for a Government infrastructure guarantee Chief Secretary to the Treasury, Danny Alexander has announced.
Forty projects are now at the stage known as prequalification, meaning that they are eligible for the UK Guarantee scheme. Whilst transport schemes are among the shortlisted schemes, over half that have prequalified are energy projects.
