More 50 MPH speed limits could be introduced on trunk roads in south Wales to bring nitrogen dioxide down to within legal limits.
The Welsh Government implemented 50mph limits on five sections of trunk road in 2018 after the UK Government’s pollution climate mapping model suggested they breached EU NO2 limit values. In May, the UK Government published new predictions of exceedances at four more locations:
