The Government this week opened the door to devolving bus revenue support to local authorities in England as part of sweeping reforms to the way public services are delivered.
The Open Public Services White Paper cites “public transport support” as one of the areas of expenditure that the Government will consider decentralising “if there is a clear case for improving value for money”.
