DfT set to withhold part of LSTF award

The Department for Transport (DfT) may not award the full £560m earmarked for the Local Sustainable Transport Fund, councils preparing major project bids (£5m-£50m) have been told.

“The DfT state that ministers may not commit all of the fund if suitable and robust business cases are not forthcoming,” said Centro’s strategy and commissioning director Tom Magrath..
