After 10 stable years a hi-tech revolution awaits

This is our last magazine of the decade, and it seems fitting to take a look back. Public transport has seen some huge changes over the past 30 years. The eighties saw bus deregulation. The nineties saw the privatisation of the railways. So what will the ‘noughties’ be remembered for?

First of all there was no major structural upheaval like those of previous decades. The only exceptions are the devolution of power to London, Scotland and Wales, and  the creation of Network Rail...
