First trials GPS across its bus fleet for better driving

First has installed new GPS technology across its entire UK fleet of 9,000 buses to help improve driving styles and reduce the carbon footprint of its buses.

The move follows a of ‘DriveGreen’ on 1,000 buses in London, Bradford and Glasgow, where they were fitted with the latest GPS technology that can detect dozens of driving movements per minute and immediately lets the driver know how well they are driving.
