With the publication of ‘Better Connected, the DfT’s strategy for integrated transport, there is an increased focus on a joined up transport system - already pre-figured in the Buses Bill which requires local authorities to identify and protect existing socially necessary services.
This webinar will look at bus service standards, explore tools that help identify poorly served areas and identify gaps in bus networks and also present strategies for filling them. It will cover:
What is the bottom line in bus frequency and network density?
How should we approach socially necessary services and the minimum standards for a bus network that is fair and equitable?
Service designs to improve connectivity in previously unserved areas
