Enforcement encouraging compliance

The Enforcement Summit returns as an in-person event at the iconic Edgbaston Stadium.

The 2022 summit will explore the latest policy, legislative and operational developments in the field of traffic management, parking operations, air quality schemes and debt recovery.

Session 1: A changing world

This keynote session will focus on how major legislative and policy changes are affecting the enforcement sector, including:

  • The roll-out of Clean Air Zones and air quality schemes

  • Environmental protection

Session 2: Effective enforcement

This session will explore the latest approaches to enforcing traffic, parking and clean air regulations, with an emphasis on:

  • Intelligence-led enforcement
  • Dealing with persistent evaders and scofflaws
  • Multi-agency operations
  • Effective use of ANPR, data and personnel
  • Citizen enforcement

Session 3: Engagement and education

This session will explore ways of improving both compliance with traffic, parking and environmental regulations, covering topics such as:

  • Building an understanding to help compliance (signage, advertising, etc.)
  • Early engagement with offenders
  • Identifying and working with vulnerable debtors
  • Enhancing front line and back office skills

Session 4: The road ahead

A look at how enforcement technology can improve compliance. The session will explore:

  • Innovative uses of ANPR
  • The effective use of data
  • Integrating front line and back office systems
  • Connected payment systems
