Independent Operators & the National Bus Strategy 

Join us on Wednesday 7th July for an in-depth look at the opportunities within the Government's National Bus Strategy (NBS) for independent bus operators and local authorities, including a showcase of Passenger's innovative myTrip product. 

Collaboration between operators and local transport authorities (LTAs) is now key to opening new sources of government funding. The NBS makes clear the expectation for Enhanced Partnership working, and all local transport authorities in England (LTAs) are expected to publish a Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) in October 2021, setting out how each LTA will use their Enhanced Partnership or franchising scheme to deliver “an ambitious vision for travel by bus”.

Smaller operators not affected by the England-wide strategy may also wish to attend to consider the benefits available by applying the learnings of the NBS and working locally with others.
