As pupils return to school, an alliance of eight national charities has urged families to support children to walk, cycle or use public transport as much as possible.
They call for a ‘redoubling’ of efforts across Britain to develop space and facilities for walking and cycling, ensuring that improvements are well-connected with public, community and shared transport.
To achieve this, communities, schools, pupils, parents and teachers must work together with local authorities and transport providers, enabling local areas to create joined-up networks that work for everyone and provide a community-minded alternative to driving.
This webinar will look at how pioneering initiatives are delivering successful schemes.
