The efficient management of the kerbside and roadspace is essential to the health, wealth and vitality of urban centres. Parking World is the leading forum for parking specialists working in both the on-street and off-street arenas. The event encompasses all aspects of parking management and enforcement in both the public and private sectors.

This year Parking World will be looking at how parking and traffic management policy is evolving to meet the challenges of new vehicle technologies and major concerns around air quality. There will be a focus on:

  • the provision of parking in town and city centres
  • how will parking regulation need to change to manage the evolution of connected and autonomous vehicles (CAVs)
  • the role of parking and moving traffic management in improving air quality
  • providing for the growth of electric vehicles (EVs)
  • how parking data is central to better parking management
  • developing effective communication strategies and engagement policies
  • the future economics of motoring and parking

The programme has been developed by the team at Parking Review in discussion with Parking and Traffic Regulations Outside London (PATROL), the body which represents over 300 English and Welsh local authorities. The day will also feature input from the Traffic Penalty Tribunal, the panel of independent adjudicators who listen to moving traffic and parking appeals in England and Wales outside London.
