Europe’s ageing population is one of the largest issues faced by its societies. In the UK, the 65+ population is expected to rise by 50% over the next 17 years. Such rapid increases pose major challenges to the provision transport and the design of accessible places. This demographic shift is occurring at a time of decline for rural bus services, and a changing landscape for mobility and transport provision.
Together - across professional disciplines - we must learn to do things differently.
Engage in this conversation, by registering your place at Landor LINK’s first full day conference dedicated to the issue of Mobility for an Ageing Population.
Sponsored by the Department for Transport and hosted by University College London (UCL), the conference will bring together academics, practitioners and decision makers to share knowledge and experience in addressing this critical issue.
The conference will two panel discussions and a trip to UCL’s accessibility testing lab, PAMELA.
