Smarter Tomorrow

Smarter Tomorrow is the established and popular annual conference and networking event for professionals and experts working in intelligent mobility, smart city planning and future streets.

Since 2012, the Smarter Travel series has evolved from a key forum rooted in active travel and behaviour change issues to become the major showcase for UK and European intelligent mobility innovation.

Smarter Tomorrow 2019 will provide a roadmap to smarter, cleaner, safer and more sustainable mobility options in towns and cities. The event covers innovation and digital transformation across all modes of transport, and has at its core the intention of supporting more clean and safe mobility options for more stages of every journey.

Smarter Tomorrow will include three thematic conference streams, including:

Smarter Streets: the latest thinking in safe, connected and efficient streets that are designed for everyone to use. This stream will focus on issues of kerbside, street and traffic management, parking, EV infrastructure, ITS and road safety

Smarter Cities: this stream will focus on the development of smart city infrastructure across the UK, and showcase the significant progress being made in use of the Internet of Things, digital connectivity, 5G networks, urban models

Smarter Travel: the core stream at Smarter Tomorrow will focus on developments in smarter travel; including travel demand, walking, cycling, shared / autonomous / connected modes, electric transport, smarter commuting, DRT, intelligent mobility innovation, freight and e-cargo, first and last mile solutions, ticketing and enhanced public transport services
