Over the last ten years London has undergone a significant transformation and more change is coming.  During a period of high population growth, traffic in the inner core has fallen, public spaces have been improved dramatically and cycling infrastructure upgraded to encourage new cycling journeys.

Few places have seen a bigger change than the vibrant Borough of Southwark. The Borough has some of the highest number of cycle journeys in London, catered for by some new high quality infrastructure and has seen substantial urban regeneration and public realm improvements.

This event will showcase and detail the policy, technical delivery and community engagement that has led to the 'transformation of London streets'.

This international event will feature:

  • Presentations from the leading policy makers and practitioners in London

  • International speakers from leading cycling cities around the world

  • An extensive exhibition showcasing products, services and expert suppliers

  • Case studies from the practitioners leading delivery in Southwark and around London

  • Technical Site visits to the newest cycling infrastructure and public realm in London

  • Workshops on detailed planning and engineering issues

  • Networking with the whole profession

  • Public engagement activities and a Festival of cycling and active travel
