Cycle City Active City includes a 2-day exhibition of the product and service suppliers to the sector, with plenary presentations by high-profile individuals throughout the UK and beyond with expertise and influence in cycle policy, promotion and infrastructure.

Leicester has made big strides in recent years at increasing everyday cycling and walking trips.

While Leicester did not receive Cycle City Ambition Grant funding, the Connecting Leicester project is moving ahead quickly creating a connected, safe and family friendly city centre and reducing the dominance of roads is starting to create an attractive, pedestrian-friendly, environment for local people to enjoy their historic city.

The public realm improvements in the city centre are having a significant impact on investment decisions and the take up of employment land and office space, attracting companies such as IBM to move to the city.

The Richard III discovery has seen the city secure an additional £1.6 million Townscape Heritage Initiative funding which will be invested in making the historic parts of the city more attractive and to stimulate further economic growth.

Join us at the spectacular state-of-the-art theatre, designed by award winning architect Rafael Vinloy, in the heart of the Leicester’s vibrant Cultural Quarter for Cycle City Leicester.
