Chester City Council and council-owned bus company Chester City Transport have begun proceedings in the High Court to block a move by Arriva to replicate the municipal's operator's routes in the city.
The council says Arriva is using its "financial strength and market dominance" to engage in anti-competitive behaviour and undermine the planned sale of Chester City Transport (LTT 21 Sep).
